Grounded
Post date: 18 June 2024
You’re invited to the opening of Grounded.
Opening: Saturday 22 June, 11.00am – 2.00pm
Where: MURRAY ART MUSEUM ALBURY, 546 Dean St, Albury NSW 2640
Please join us for the opening of Grounded, focusing on cultural practices that have been passed down through generations of family members to the artists – Glennys Briggs, Glenda Nicholls, and Dr Treahna Hamm. The exhibition brings together new work by the artists, created during a shared Residency that interweaves ancestral knowledge in their contemporary practices. From 11.00am an Artist Talk will take place hosted by Curator First Nations Andrea Briggs. This will be followed by the Official Opening of the exhibition and the serving of a light lunch.
